Recipe Variations

By replacing the matcha with instant coffee and adding pumpkin spice, you can transform this recipe into a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. It’s a straightforward modification that brings the cozy flavors of pumpkin spice into your Frappuccino, perfect for a seasonal twist!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use regular green tea instead of matcha to make matcha Frappuccino?

No, you cannot use regular green tea instead of matcha for this recipe. Green tea doesn't come in a powder form. It is typically in the form of tea leaves, so it won't dissolve in the same way as matcha powder.

Is it possible to make this Frappuccino without an expensive blender?

You don't need an expensive blender any blender that is powerful enough to blend ice into a smoothie-like texture will work for making this Frappuccino recipe.

What's the difference between using culinary grade matcha and ceremonial grade matcha in this recipe?

Ceremonial grade matcha has a bright green color when made and is specially chosen for its presentation. However, in a cold drink like a Frappuccino, the taste difference between culinary grade and ceremonial grade matcha is not noticeable. So, for this recipe, you can use culinary grade matcha without any significant impact on taste.

Storage Tips

Hello! We usually just use culinary grade matcha powder from Amazon. Click the picture right under the ingredient list and it will take you to the product.

  3. Delicious! Even without whipped cream. FYI, I used allulose, and it worked great.

  4. This drink was so good! I only had liquid stevia but used all other ingredients, added almond milk and smaller amount of heavy cream and blended it in Nutriblend. Wow! Really enjoyed it. Got my Starbucks fix.
