Essential Kitchen Equipment
Directions
Step 1 Prepare the spicy garlic mayo sauce by mixing together grated garlic, mayo, and Sriracha sauce in a small bowl.
Step 2 Next, make patties about 1/4 lb each, and shape them into meatballs. Heat up a frying pan on medium-high heat. Once hot, place the meatballs inside and use a spatula to press them down into patties about 1/2 inch thick.
Step 3 Now, layer thinly sliced onions on top of each patty and generously season with salt and black pepper. Cook the patties until they well-browned.
🧂 Seasoning Pro Tip
For optimal flavor, Generously Season your burger.
Step 4 To assemble the burger, place a lettuce leaf on a serving plate, followed by a beef patty onion-side up. If you’re using cheese, add it next, then place another beef patty on top, onion side down. Generously spread the spicy mayo you prepared earlier over the patties and add any other optional toppings you like. Cover with another lettuce leaf. To secure everything, you can insert a toothpick in the middle.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long should I cook the burger on each side?
For optimal results, aim to cook the burger for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165F. However, the exact timing may vary depending on the thickness of your burger patties.
Can I prepare the patties in advance and store them for later use?
Absolutely! You can prepare the patties in advance and freeze them for later use. Once formed, simply store them in the freezer until you're ready to cook them.
Can I grill the burgers instead of cooking them on a pan?
Grilling the burgers is possible, but it's important to use a cast iron grill pan to achieve the best results. This type of pan allows you to properly smash down the burger while it cooks, ensuring you get the proper smash burger texture.
Storage Tips
For optimal freshness, it’s best to consume the leftovers promptly, ideally right after preparation. However, if leftovers are inevitable, store them in an airtight container and refrigerate promptly where it will keep for 1-2 days.
