Directions

☑ Before Getting Started

For best results, use a Wok or Deep Skillet. This choice of cookware enables you to retain maximum heat during the cooking process, ensuring your ingredients have plenty of room for the best results.

🥄 Corn Starch Pro Tip

If using Corn Starch Slurry as a thickener, prepare a mixture of 1 Tablespoon of Corn Starch and 2 Tablespoons of Water in a mixing bowl. Gradually add this mixture to your soup until it reaches the desired thickness.

Step 2 In a large skillet or wok, heat cooking oil and add broccoli florets, cooking for 1 minute until slightly tender, before transferring it to a holding bowl.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know when the beef is cooked to perfection?

To ensure the beef is cooked perfectly, look for a golden brown color on the outside of the slices. Since the slices are thin, this browning indicates that the beef is ready.

Can I marinate the beef in the sauce beforehand?

Marinating the beef beforehand isn't necessary for this recipe since the dish relies on the sauce to impart taste to the beef.

How spicy is the BBQ sauce?

The BBQ sauce used in this recipe is not spicy; it offers a balanced and mild flavor profile.

Storage Tips

Store your leftovers in an airtight container and place them in the refrigerator. They can be safely stored for 5-7 days.

  1. Thank you so much for the lovely recipe! Do you think it would turn out okay if made without the oyster sauce? I’m a bit stricter on my carb count but I’m worried it might ruin the taste.

    • Mark Iwadare

Hello Mimi! You are very welcome! It would change the taste but I’m pretty sure it will still turn out OK.

  2. Thank you for the recipe. I will try this sometime this month.
