Directions
☑ Before Getting Started
To ensure thorough cooking and even heat distribution, utilize a Large Skillet with a Flat Bottom when preparing ground chicken.
Step 1 First whisk together Japanese sake, soy sauce, and your chosen sweetener for the sauce.
Step 2 Prepare and add your desired rice of choice into a bowl.
Step 3 Beat eggs in a mixing bowl, scramble in a skillet and position on one side of the rice bowl.
🥚 Egg Pro Tip
When scrambling the eggs, aim for a Soft and Fluffy Texture. Cook the eggs gently over medium-low heat to prevent them from becoming dry or rubbery, resulting in perfectly cooked and tender eggs.
Step 4 Clean the skillet, then add cooking oil. Once the oil is heated, add the ground chicken and break it into smaller pieces. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook until it’s browned. Then, layer the chicken mixture on the opposite side of the bowl.
💡 Ground Chicken Pro Tip
For enhanced flavor, consider adding Grated Ginger to your ground chicken mixture.
Step 5 Complete the dish with a garnish of chopped green onions along the center.
🍽️ Serving Pro Tip
For the best dining experience, serve the donburi Hot and Fresh. This ensures that all the flavors are at their peak and the dish is as delicious as possible when enjoyed.
