🍽️ Serving Pro Tip

Ensure that the lettuce you use is Completely Dry, free from any water. Any moisture can alter the dressing’s consistency, making it runny instead of creamy.

Recipe Variations

For a delightful twist on the classic Caesar dressing, consider replacing your lettuce with some lightly boiled broccoli to create a mouthwatering Caesar Broccoli Salad. This variation adds a delightful crunch and a fresh, green twist to the traditional dressing.

Paring Recommendations

Caesar Dressing goes well with many different dishes, but it particularly shines when paired with steak and chicken. The rich and creamy flavors of the dressing complement the savory and juicy meats perfectly. Whether you’re grilling up a flavorful Garlic Butter Oven-Seared Steak, savoring the succulent taste of Japanese Style Garlic Steak, or enjoying the tangy goodness of BBQ Lemon Chicken, this Caesar Dressing adds a delightful layer of flavor to your meal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it necessary to use anchovy fillets, or can I skip them?

Anchovy fillets add a unique savory flavor to Caesar Dressing, but you can omit them if you don't like anchovies.

What type of mustard should I use—yellow or Dijon?

You can use either yellow mustard or Dijon mustard, but Dijon mustard is preferred for its flavor.

What can I do if my dressing turns out too thick or too thin?

  2. What mayonnaise do you use?

    • Mark Iwadare

Hey Melissa! For this one, we just use regular American mayo like your Trader Joe’s/Best Foods/Hellmann’s, etc.

  3. Hello! It looks like you add olive oil in the pictures, but its not listed in the ingredients or instructions. Is that needed?

    • Mark Iwadare

Hey Megan! There is no olive oil used in the dressing. The picture was an oversight and thanks for pointing that out to us!

      • Thanks! I ended up adding some when I made this – the dressing was a hit! Even with my kiddos. Thanks!

        • Awesome and glad to know it was a hit, esp with your kids since as parents, we know the struggle of getting vegetables in them are REAL! As for the oil, we found that it didn’t add much to the recipe and actually contributed to separation.
