Ingredients

  • 1/2 lbs Pork thinly sliced butt/shoulder 
  • 1/4 Cup Sliced Onions
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil neutral, no flavor or taste
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Japanese Sake
  • 1 tbsp Sweetener your preferred sweetener
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Togarashi can replace with red pepper
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 Stalk Green Onions
  • 1/2 tsp Toasted Sesame Seed optional

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients.

  • Slice onions and chop green onions as shown below.

  • Grate garlic with a grater and place it into a small mixing bowl. Add in soy sauce, Japanese sake, sweetener, togarashi, toasted sesame oil and mix until well combined.

  • In a large frying pan or wok, add neutral cooking oil and bring up to temp on medium heat. Add in sliced onions and cook for 1-2 until slightly softened.

  • Next, bump heat up to medium-high, add in thinly sliced pork and cook for 2-3 minutes until meat is browned as shown below.

  • Add in the sauce from step 3), cook for 30-45 seconds and then transfer to a serving plate. Top with green onions, optional toasted sesame seed and enjoy hot!
